A new trailer has been released for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, the upcoming animated feature based on Tatsuki Fujimoto’s manga series. The film, a direct sequel to the first season of the anime television series, is set to premiere in Japanese theatres on September 19, 2025. It will be released internationally beginning September 24, with a U.S. release scheduled for October 29 through Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Produced by MAPPA, Reze Arc continues the story of Denji, a young devil hunter who becomes “Chainsaw Man” after merging with the Chainsaw Devil, Pochita. The film follows Denji as he meets Reze, a mysterious new character introduced shortly after the events of Season 1.
The newly released trailer includes the theme song IRIS OUT, performed by Kenshi Yonezu, who previously contributed the opening theme KICK BACK for the anime series. “It’s a great privilege to continue my musical involvement from the TV anime series to the film,” Yonezu said in a statement shared by the production.
In addition to the trailer, the film announced several new voice cast members. Hidenori Takahashi will voice the Vice-Commander of Public Safety Devil Hunter Section 2, Kenji Akabane joins as Nomo, Kenji Nomura plays an unnamed character pursuing Denji, and Eri Kitamura will voice the Typhoon Devil.

Tatsuya Yoshihara is directing the film, returning from his work on the Chainsaw Man series and Black Clover. The screenplay is written by Hiroshi Seko, with character designs by Kazutaka Sugiyama. Other members of the production team include Sota Shigetsugu as action animation director and Kiyotaka Oshiyama overseeing devil designs.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is part of an expanding anime adaptation of Fujimoto’s manga, which premiered its first season in 2022. The anime series is available for streaming via Crunchyroll.
