Actor Deepika Padukone has set a new record on Instagram with a promotional reel that has become the most-viewed video on the platform, registering over 1.9 billion views. The reel, posted on June 9 as part of a paid partnership with hotel chain Hilton, has surpassed all previous viewership records on Instagram.

The video is part of Hilton’s global campaign titled “It Matters Where You Stay,” in which Padukone serves as a brand ambassador. The reel achieved this milestone in less than two months, overtaking content from other high-profile personalities including Hardik Pandya and Cristiano Ronaldo. Prior to this, the most-watched reels included Pandya’s BGMI partnership video at 1.6 billion views and a promotional video for a smartphone at 1.4 billion.

Despite being a standard brand collaboration, the reel saw unusually high engagement across social media platforms. With over 80 million Instagram followers, Padukone’s online presence remains one of the strongest among Indian public figures.

Fans responded actively in the comments, noting the unexpected reach of the video. Several posts highlighted the significance of the milestone, pointing out that it is rare for any piece of Instagram content to cross the billion-view mark.

Padukone’s social media achievement follows recent recognition from the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, which announced she will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2026.

In terms of upcoming projects, Padukone was last seen in Singham Again. She is set to appear in AA22xA6, a pan-Indian science fiction film directed by Atlee, and is expected to return in the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD.
